I was sitting stream side on the Bighorn River, MT waiting for the trio spinner fall when this trio dun landed on my wader leg. I watched her dry her wings, warming in the sun. After a few minutes she folded her wings backward and her exoskeleton turned milky opaque. I watched in awe as her spinner form emerged. She dried her wings, crawled a bit, and then flew away. Luckily, I was carrying my fishing camera and captured the entire process.
