The images coming out of Abaco Island are hard to stomach. While the level of damage is still being accessed, we know that whole communities, and the island itself, have been ravaged by Hurrican Dorian in an unprecedented manner. We have witnessed firsthand that the people of Abaco are strong, resilient, and above all, exceedingly kind. We also know that right now they need our help.
Below are a list of some organizations and brands that are trying to help alleviate the suffering and attend to the needs of the people in Abaco. We hope that you will consider making a donation and show your support for Abaco. Thank you. – American Angler staff

Yellow Dog Fly Fishing – Bahamas Fund

Donate Today to Help the Bahamas Angling Community
Hurricane Dorian has finally moved on from the Bahamas. The updates we’ve received from our lodge partners and our guides on both Abaco and Grand Bahama paint a grim picture of the situation on the ground. Entire communities have been demolished, and the damage to many communities is overwhelming. On Abaco Island 5 people have been reported killed, and it’s hard to believe that the death toll will not rise in the days ahead.
The Yellow Dog Community and Conservation Foundation (YDCCF) has set up an emergency fund to assist with this incredibly tragic natural disaster, with the plan to support guides, families and those connected to the fly fishing industry that have lost their homes.
While we know that there will be multiple efforts, numerous GoFundMe pages and a large number of entities stepping up to help, we want to do what we can to help those in in the fly fishing community that have been hit the hardest.
We welcome everyone to donate and help our Bahamian friends in their time of need!
